March 7, 2011: Alternative Ending

The sun was down and the owls are perched on the branches, there was a rustling noise behind the bushes, came out Lennie. He was stilled for a few minutes and continued walking toward the pond. He sat infront of the pond and look into the reflection. He know he have done something bad. Lennie aint gonna let me tend the rabbits now said Lennie, he's gonna give me hell and tell me how he could of had a better life without me. I know, I'm gonna go up the mountains and find a cave, yes that is what I'm gonna do, find a cave and stay there so George doesn't have to worry me no more.

Suddenly Lennie heard a familiar voice calling him, Lennie, Lennie, look at what you've done now, George aint gonna let you out this easy. Lennie realized it was his aunt, Aunt Clara, is that you? Yes George it's me, your old Aunt Clara. Oh Aunt Clara, i've done something really bad and now George is gonna give me hell said Lennie. Why did you have to talk to that son of a bitch, why didn't you listen to George and leave her alone, George told you she would give you trouble, and look what have you done. I'm sorry Aunt Clara, honest, I didn't know what to do, I've panic! said Lennie. Well, its all your fault, you know what?! George could of had a great life but no he had to take care of you. I know Aunt Clara said Lennie, I know. George could of spend his dough on anything he wants, but no, he has to take care of you, you've done nothing but bring George down. I know Aunt Clara, I'm really sorry, I will just go and find myself a cave and live their, George aint gonna see me no more said Lennie. You know goddamn well that you aint gonna do that, you just gonna say it and not do it at all. I know Aunt Clara I'm really sorry said Lennie. The voice of his Aunt Clara slowly becomes quieter, then you can't hear her anymore.

George lays on the edge of the pond and plays with the water with his massive fingers. George aint gonna let me tend no rabbits any more, he aint gonna let me tend them said Lennie. Lennie was tired, his eyes were weighing a ton, he felt like he was on a cloud
